Dr. Michaela McGonigle

 DNP, PMHNP-BC

(She/Her/Hers)

As a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I offer a holistic and integrative approach to mental health care, focusing on treating the whole person rather than just isolated symptoms. The services I offer include comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses, treatment plans, medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and psychoeducation. I base any treatment recommendations I make on evidence-based practice to ensure the highest standards of safe and effective care.

I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Macalester College. Prior to earning my doctorate, I gained seven years of valuable experience in diverse clinical settings, including Seattle Children’s inpatient psychiatry unit and Harborview Medical Center’s acute care and surgical unit.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and person-centered, combining medication management, brief psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and behavioral interventions. I offer trauma-informed care that fosters a sense of safety and trust, while empowering patients to actively engage in their healing journey. My goal is to create an environment where you feel heard, comfortable, and appropriately challenged in our work. Together, we will work to enhance your resilience and well-being through personalized, compassionate care that meets you where you are and supports your individual goals.

Seeking mental health support is a courageous step that demonstrates a commitment to one's own well-being and personal growth. I feel very privileged to support you in taking control of your mental health journey and working towards attaining sustainable, positive changes.
