Dr. Sarah Kim
DNP, PMHNP-BC, CNL
(She/Her/Hers)
As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapy. My approach is centered on shared decision-making and evidence-based practices, ensuring that your treatment is tailored to your unique needs and preferences.
While medication management is a key part of what I offer, I also incorporate therapeutic techniques like motivational interviewing and problem-solving treatment to provide additional support. These approaches are designed to help you gain insight into patterns in your life, break through barriers, and foster long-term healing.
My goal is to help you find clarity and reconnect with your sense of purpose. Whether you're facing life transitions, ongoing stress, or seeking joy and fulfillment, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Before joining Spruce, I completed a fellowship at the University of Washington, where I worked closely with primary care providers and specialists, offering psychiatric consultation in diverse settings such as primary care, psycho-oncology, inpatient geriatrics, and emergency services. I also have several years of psychiatric nursing experience in inpatient care, community mental health, and outreach services.
Areas of focus: ADHD, Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety, Bipolar, De-prescribing (assisting in medication reduction or cessation when appropriate), Depression, Life Transitions, OCD, PTSD, and Stress.
